What are you thoughts on the election?

I was watching the coverage for maybe 12 hours last night and I am so proud that Barrack Obama is the new president-elect. This means so much to me as a young Black woman. I never thought that this would ever happen in my lifetime. Just 50 years ago people throw rocks at my grandma for trying to vote. I stood in the line for 4 hours just to cast my ballot. I am glad that so many people voted. It was amazing to see the turn out and the pion from both sides weather they are liberal or conservative. I was touched by both John McCain speech and Obama's speech. Especially McCain's he said some very genuine and honest things and he talked about out country uniting, I loved his speech. I was actually moved to tears when I heard both of them because they touched me in both ways. I have faith in the Obama, I think he will help unite our country and we can stand together, White Black, Latino, Asian, Native American, Muslim, Christan, Jews, Atheist, young, old, rich, poor, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, etc. We can do this! We have to all put aside our differences to keep this country going and make peace with our enemies and make a better world for our children
